==Economy==
The economy of Netansett was traditionally based on subsistence agriculture, with a few actors in the economy growing {{wp|cash crops}} on very large estates for export; these cash crops represented the majority of Netansett's trade revenue. Since the dawn of the 21st century, however, the construction sector has been the largest part of the Netanic economy as major infrastructure continues to be built across the nation. These large projects, connecting villages and cities with modern highways and railways, were first funded with foreign aid but since [[2025]] have increasingly had private and domestic government capital funding construction. With construction has come new retail and real estate sectors, as cities have grown steadily since [[2002]] requiring homes and consumer goods. As the economy has shifted from rural agriculture to urban life, the GDP has doubled in approximately 20 years, with its 2030 GDP PC of $17,296 dwarfing many of its neighbors. The economic transformation has largely disrupted the traditional "big planter" class as the government has repossessed parts of the massive estates once common throughout the country, decreasing overall cash crop exports as the agricultural sector has declined. The discovery of major uranium reserves in the Cusinaut interior has also led to the creation of a major mining sector.

The Netanic economy is mostly deregulated in order to encourage continued economic prosperity.
The Netanic government has always held a high importance towards being a benevolent form of autocratic republic which has led to there being a lack of government regulation or intervention in the economy, leaving it in the hands of the planter aristocracy and the elites for the most part. Indeed, the fact that the current autocratic government has been repossessing swaths of land from these estates to both develop much-needed infrastructure as the economy heads toward Occidentalization has largely been seen as a great exception to the usual hands-off economic policies that previous autocratic governments have held. These land seizures have immensely expanded after members of government who were a part of the planter aristocracy resigned en masse out of protest in the mid-2020s, with much of these lands being sold to either private interests from the growing middle class or Occidental companies while others have been repurposed into land for new uranium mines to expand the nascent mining sector of the economy.

Being a landlocked country, Netansett has no oceanic port. This has been a source of difficulty when it came to exports as all Netanic exports has to go through another country before it can be shipped out by sea. Indeed, the Netanic government for many years has been largely dependent on maintaining good relations with Kiravia, and specifically Porfiria, so as to maintain a reliable state to export Netanic goods to. This has meant that even during the Sunderance period, Netansett simply could not abandon relations with the government of the remnants. Access to the sea has been seen as so important in the eyes of Netansett that any and all free trade agreements it has made with Kiravia have explicitly stated that Netansett had full, legal and unconditional right to use Porfirian ports to help facilitate in trade with the rest of the Occident, often at the cost of giving Porfiria a discount on Netanic exports in return.

Due to the lack of an oceanic port, Netansett is largely dependent on its relationship with Porfíria to maintain its exports.
