'''Winnecomac''', officially the '''City of Winnecomac''', is the capital and largest city of the Tawaukee Province in Western [[Tulangia Region]].  It is the second largest city in Tulangia by population, only behind regional capital [[Sevier]]. It is located on the southwestern border of Tawaukee and Namanoq Provinces on the Qosori River, around 20 miles from the border between [[Tierrador]] and [[Asteria]]. It is the 32nd-most populous city in the [[Tierrador|Tierradorian Republic]], with a 2030 census population of 431,909 within the city limits. Winnecomac is the anchor of the 5-parish, 2-province Winnecomac–Venceia Metropolitan area. The Winnecomac metro area is the 41st-largest metropolitan area in Tierrador, with an estimated population of 959,203, as reported by the 2030 census. Downtown Winnecomac is the cultural center and home to many small businesses and a number of high-rise buildings. The area has a variety of shops and restaurants. Centrally, River Street contains a pedestrian zone with sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The neighborhood has many local restaurants, bars, and boutiques. The area also contains the River Block, a large shopping mall built in 1996. Downtown Winnecomac's main attractions include the Tawaukee Provincial Capitol, the classic Caphirian Theatre on the corner of Capitol Boulevard and Main Street, the Winnecomac Art Museum on Capitol in front of Aphío A. Woderq Park, and Zoo Winnecomac on the grounds of Aphío A. Woderq Park.

The city was founded in 1811 by [[Faneria|Fanerian]] settlers in their colony of [[Asteria#Faneria and Dominion (1775-1829)|Asteria]]. The settlement was founded as a way to regulate trade between them and the newly-founded [[Tierrador#Late 18th Century to Mid-19th Century|Republic of Tierrador]]. After the independence of Asteria in 1836, and the conquering of the Tierradorian western regions in the 1870s, tensions between Tierrador and the newly-founded Asterian state grew exponentially as the city of Winnecomac became an extremely important economic and political location. Many skirmishes took place in the city during the late 1800s and the early 1900s. In 1979, Asteria launched a full-scale invasion of Tierrador via the many military bases in Downtown and the outskirts of Winnecomac. This began the [[Cowboy War]]. The invading Asteria got quite far into Tulangia Region, however they were quickly pushed back across the Tierrador-Asterian border, taking the city of Winnecomac in the process. Since 1983, Winnecomac has officially been a part of Tierrador, though disputes (mainly cultural) occur as some still believe it to be rightful territory of Asteria.

Throughout the rest of the 19th century, the transportation and jobbingsectors were important in the city, along with its railroads and breweries. In the 20th century, the Winnecomac Stockyards, once the world's largest, and its meatpacking plants gained international prominence. Presently, Winnecomac is the home to the headquarters of four Q&Q 400 companies: shipping and logistics company Western Express; one of the world's largest construction companies, Ayawit Corporation; insurance and financial firm Mutual of Winnecomac; and the Tierradorian Republic's largest railroad operator, Far Western Railroads. Western Express is headed by local investor Antti Solana, one of the wealthiest people in the world, according to a decade's worth of international rankings, some of which have ranked him as high as No. 1. Winnecomac is also the home to four Q&Q 1000 headquarters: Tulangia Mutual, Winnecomac Softworks, TerraTrade, and Tsuqan Industries. Also headquartered in Winnecomac are the following: Bank of Winnecomac, the fifth largest privately held bank in Tierrador; and two of the nation's ten largest architecture/engineering firms (QQQ Group, AOQ, Inc.).
