Netanic culture is ancient and very well documented due to the Netanic people's relatively early adoption of a writing system by Crona standards. Netansetts are mostly described as being extremely xenophobic and nationalistic as a result of their historical position of isolationism, often leading to many observers concluding that Netansett is in fact an autocratic ethnocracy in all but name.

Since the beginning of major economic growth in the 21st century, particularly since the beginning of Netansett's involvement in the Deluge in 2010, Netanic society has been largely divided into four distinct social groups. On the top, there are two elite social groups that serve as the political and military elite (the so-called "Tsailists") as well as the aristocratic planter class. The Tsailists are a small group of interrelated families who have exercised the majority of political and military control of the country since the establishment of the Autocracy in 1840. They are the descendants of the prominent tribal leaders and generals at that time, effectively making them quasi-royalty and are often comparable to the noble Estates of Urcea, the senatorial families of Lucrecia, and the Imperial and patrician estates of Caphiria.

The planters, meanwhile, are the small group of economic elites who made hereditary fortunes through the growth and export of cash crops, though their economic clout has gradually waned with the Occidentalization of the economy. Their influence has also waned in favor of the growing and Occidentalized middle class, which are presently the urban-dwelling beneficiaries of the economic growth and transition to an urban, Occidental-style economy. Although the planters are largely hostile to social and economic changes, seeing them as challenges to their power, the middle class serve as the main bulwark for calls toward socio-political and economic reforms along Occidental lines. The last social group in Netansett are a group collectively referred to as the "peasantry", even though in reality possess both rural smallholding subsistence farmers as well as the working poor of Netansett's growing cities. The political and economic tension between these four groups has led to increasing social instability since the dawn of the 21st century, and particularly since 2010.

Religion
Religion
Netansett has no state religion as per the Constitution, mostly due to influence from the majority-Christian Kiravia when the Constitution was drafted in 1839, but there exists provisions that designate "the Netanic interpretation of the M'acunist faith" as "the rightful and national religion of the Netanic people from the forging of this document and onward to perpetuity". However, because of Kiravia's influence and, since 2010, because of the increasing influence of the Occident the M'acunist faith has largely fallen to the wayside in terms of it being the religion of the Netanic people, many of whom have embraced a form of secular nationalism as the importance of being of ethnic Netanic ancestry, even partially, became much more important to the Netansetts than adherence to a specific religious denomination. As such, it is in fact not unusual to find ultra-nationalistic Netansetts who are also highly-devoted adherents to the Catholic Church whether it be of the Coscivian Rite or of the rapidly-growing Latin Rite.

M'acunism
M'acunism
Due to the long term isolation of the Netanic people, Netanic M'acunism has developed into an almost sub-sect of M'acunism. Netanic M'acunism tends to be more in line with the Man School of M'acunist belief, but also possesses some characteristics from the other schools as well. In a development taking place during the colonial period of Netansett Catholic beliefs seeped there way into the general practices and beliefs of M'acunism due to M'acunism being more open ended. Due to this the belief of Makuahine as an Earth goddess is fading and the belief in the great oneness is fading to.
Due to the long term isolation of the Netanic people, Netanic M'acunism has developed into an almost sub-sect of M'acunism. Netanic M'acunism tends to be more in line with the Man School of M'acunist belief, but also possesses some characteristics from the other schools of M'acunist belief as well. In a development taking place during the Hukon League era when the Netanic people were under the rule of the Kiravian colony of Porfiria, Coscivian Catholic beliefs began to syncretize into the general practices and beliefs of the M'acunist faith due to M'acunism being less strict with its dogma and theology than most other religions. Because of the longtime influence of the Coscivian Catholic Church, the belief of Makuahine as the goddess of the earth, alongside belief in the Great Oneness, has largely been supplanted in favor of the veneration to a heavenly entity that has largely been inspired by the Veneration of Mary in the Catholic Church, though there still exist many Netansetts whose beliefs are in line with the mainline of the Man School. This development is somewhat comparable to the syncretization of the veneration of the Virgin Mary into the Kapuhenasa faith and the rise of Marian Kapuhenasa as a religion in what is now southwestern Rumahoki in Vallos.
