The Declaration of Endogn is the name given to a letter dated March 27th, 1094 at Endogn Abbey, in the town of Endogn, Fiannria. Written by Culfran nobles, princes, and members of the Tyn. It is addressed to the reigning Pope in the Papal State. It constitutes of the appeal to the Pope to recognize the independence of Culfran nobles from the direct rule of the Emperor of the Holy Levantine Empire. Citing the long existence of the peoples of Culfra, its existence within the ancient kingdom of Gallwa and the Eastern Kingdom ruled by King Culmann, the members of the Tyn asserted that the Culfran princes belong to an ancient Kingdom, held together once by the Captain of the North which guarded Gallia until most recently when the Holy Levantine Emperor egregiously stripped the rights of the Tyn and the Ardrike who ruled in place of the Captaincy. The declaration was intended to assert Culmannia's independence and the freedom of the Culfran peoples from direct rule from the Imperial Court as a soveriegn state within the Empire.
Submitted in Latin, the text was later translated and promulugated into Faeskt during the reign of Rourkian Kingdom of the Culfras and again during the founding of the Commonwealth of Fiannria. It has long been recognized as among the earliest expressions of popular sovereignity.
