Coinciding with his first election as party leader of the [[Commonwealth Union (Urcea)|Commonwealth Union]], Reed stood as the NDP's candidate for Procurator for the [[2010 Urcean elections]], but was defeated by [[James Dynan]]. Following the [[2015 Urcean political realignment]], he stood as the nominee for the new [[Union for National Solidarity (Urcea)|Union for National Solidarity]] in the [[2015 Urcean elections]], but was defeated and finished in third place. He subsequently served as the King's special envoy to [[Caphiria]], and was a lead negotiator in the Assumption Accords. He also served as a member of the [[Concilium Daoni]] from [[Lower Carolina]] from 1990 to 2010. He is presently the Chair of the [[Gildertach]].
