Army of Conquest: Difference between revisions

The Army of Conquest was originally formed in november 1991 in the run-up to the <nowiki>[[First Invasion of Jalqolak]]</nowiki>, during a period of political instability as the government of <nowiki>[[Linge Chen]]</nowiki> was only beginning to consolidate its power. The politically unreliable Captaincy-General of the West, highly autonomous under the previous regime, was dismantled and its staff officers purged. The Captaincy's military assets were reformed into the Army of Conquest and reinforced with 10 divisions of raw conscripts and 2 recruited among Party faithful. In overall command was placed General <nowiki>[[Bort Borg]]</nowiki>, a PCD sympathizer.
