The PRP up to the present day, is still struggling to change and topple the divisional political system of the country. Unfortunately, for a plethora of reasons has started to confuse the specificity of NCR, in terms of its sectarian composition, and the party’s regional and international alliances. Remaining restricted by the idea of dependency on socialist countries in some sort of blind approval and their course of action, which was often been incompatible with internal national interests. This policy has made the party, as an opposition force protesting the divisional political system throughout its long years, torn between various burdens, the most important one being a geographic one. Geographically stuck in a turmoil fueled region which has seen many dozens of coups and military dictatorships since the [[Second Great War]]. Relations between neighboring countries remain tense, hostile, and temporal due to changes in internal alliances. Moreover, it has made the sectarian and ethnic groups that make up the fabric of society live in a state of permanent anxiety and fear. The second most important burden is the sectarian nature governing system with sects sharing power based on constitutional and electoral customary practice. This has made it very difficult for left-wing, non-sectarian, and secular parties to work in all NCR controlled areas.
