Students that live within DuQuesne Parish attend schools within DuQuesne Parish Schools, except those who live within the city of Clairmonte. Clairmonte residents attend Clairmonte City Schools beginning in 2010. The parish public school system is the largest school district in Montecarlo, serving about 162,000 students with 13,000 teachers and 10,000 support staff. The public school system operating budget for Fiscal Year 2019 is $2.6 billion. It operates under the oversight of a Board of Education, which consists of seven members.
