The '''Chancellor of the Royal Treasury and Temporary President and Majority Leader of the Common Council''' usually referred to just as '''Chancellor and Temporary President''' is, alongside the Procurator, the head of government of the Apostolic Kingdom of Urcea. The Chancellor and Majority Leader directs the legislature, and together with the Concilium Purpaidá which they nominate, are, depending on the role of the individual Procurator and Chancelor, collectively accountable for their policies and actions to the Monarch, to the Concilium Daoni, to their political party and ultimately to the electorate. The current office is considered to have been formed during the Second Caroline War, and most begin to date the "Premiership" model Chancellorship from 1845.
