Verona is characterized by savannas, bayous, creeks, woodlands, deserts, and beaches. The diversity of the state's geography and climate makes it quite unique, even for Cartadania. The generally tropical to mediterranean climate has made Verona a very comfortable home for many species of plants and animals. In fact, Verona is the most megadiverse state in the country with 206 amphibian species, 181 reptile species, 715 bird species, and 190 mammal species, as well as nearly 900 species of tree and other vegetation. This includes the {{wp|Shorea faguetiana|yellow Meranti}}, the tallest tropical tree on the planet found within the state's [[Verona Everglades National Park|everglades]].
