The flag of the Federative Republic of Cartadania represents Cartadania and, together with the coat of arms and the national anthem, has the status of a national symbol. The meaning of the colors on the flag has changed over time, and the layout is generally more aligned with having a geographical meaning in that the green quarters represent mainland and Urlazian Cartadania, the blue represents the bodies of water between them, and the white cross represents Cartadania's position at the crossroads of the world. The civil ensign follows the same design, but without the charge in the center. The flag was designed by Rafael Cedillo.
