Overview
Joint Naval Station Leighton-Lennox (JNSLL) is a joint military installation located in Sarolasta, Kirav. Due to the strategic importance of the Polynesian Sea to Arcerion's maritime trade, the decision was made to have a jointly-funded and constructed Naval Base with the Kiravian Navy to ensure mutual cooperation and strengthen diplomatic ties. It permanently bases several destroyers, frigates, minesweepers, and logistical support ships necessary to ensure blue water operations in the Polynesian Sea. Additionally, JNSLL also serves as the main Arcer military support hub for the Southern Operating Theatre (SOTH), and JNSLL allows for greater projection as Arcerion attempts to make the transition from green- to blue-water Navy. The base is under construction, slated to be completed late 2027, and at this point can only serve as a temporary resupply and support hub, as ships cannot remain permanently stationed there due to the lack of fleet facilities for large-scale repairs, overhaul or long-term berthing of hulls.
Permanently Stationed Forces
Permanently stationed on JNSLL are three squadrons, representing the largest external commitment of Arcer surface forces available. The composition of an ASW Squadron (ASWSQ1), a minesweeping squadron (MSWSQ1), and a surface warfare squadron (DESSQ1) has a consistent 10-16 ships in the area operating from the base.
