Merced University (Merced) is a private Holly Society research university in Canaeria Grove, Verona. Established in 1684, Merced is the oldest institution of higher education in Verona and the fifth-oldest institution of higher learning in Cartadania. It is one of nine imperial colleges founded by the Caphirian government, seven of which belong to the Holly Society. It has been ranked by numerous major education publications as among the top ten universities in the world.
