The end of the [[Occidental Cold War]] brought about significant political and cultural changes in Arona. For the first time in its history, Arona was no longer in danger of immediate invasion from either of its northern or eastern neighbors, and a sense of culture shock to the traditionally "militia cultured" Aronese people set in.
