===Legislative===
The legislature of Geisenroda is the unicameral Volkskammer. The legislature has 450 seats with elections being conducted based with a closed list party-list proportional system, seats are allocated to parties based on their percentage of their vote, and parties distribute seats to members in any way they see fit. The Volkskammer is responsible for proposing and voting on laws with any approved by a majority going to the chancellor, alongside the power to approve constitutional changes with a two-thirds majority vote. Despite once having the power to remove former chancellor's immunity from prosecution and impeach chancellors, these powers were stripped from the Volkskammer in the 2011 constitution.
