Canasta New Business Program
The CNBP or Canasta New Business Program began in 1981 upon the dissolution of all Non-Canasta Companies. It was created for the express purpose of maintaining small business within the Canespan state. Originally brought up as a solution by Director Película Ruwaq as a solution to the possible stagnation that could be caused by trying to maintain one company as a whole. The program is essentially a real estate venture as the Canasta Company loans out a chunk of land to an aspiring person with the essential credentials. That person receives the land once they can create a convincing argument for a business's profitability and plans for the building itself. Once the land is given out and the building is operational then the said business would be able to pay its owner and workers with its profits. In order to remain a business it must maintain the paying of a steady rent to the Canasta Company that can be increased if the said business expands past one location. Across Canespa this has led to the formation of local coffee shops, grocery stores, and other small businesses essential for the country. The Plan has been wildly successful in that it has been able to stir small business and capitalism within Canespan cities and towns. While the CNBP has mainly focused in on cities the program has also reached out to many Ilqatas across various Mikuna's.
