The Taber Noir (lit. "Black Tent horsemen") were a was a culturally Slavic tribal confederation. At times, they ruled large parts an area ranging from ancient western Istroya to modern Volonia. During the 8th and 9th centuries, they were considered one of two main adversaries of the Caphiric First Imperium alongside the Oduniyyad Caliphate.
