Telucti I (born 18 October 1976) is the current and first King of Quetzenkel. Born to a prominent family of Varshani nobles, Telucti was a well known business leader and supporter of political and social reform in Crona before entering politics. Supported by Urcea and other nations abroad, forces supporting Telucti invaded Quetzenkel during an ongoing civil war and allowed Telucti to take power. He was crowned King in 2017. Telucti has implemented significant reforms to the country and lead them through the Final War of the Deluge, which included a partial invasion of the country and subsequent reclamation of lost territory.

Early life and business enterprises

Telucti was born in Varshan in 1976 to the ancient Cheveyo noble lineage of the Seneca Islands. In his youth, he was considered to be the "wild child" of his family, eventually leaving Crona altogether and attending the Collegium Scientificum in Urceopolis (City). There, he made lifelong business connections with Levantine corporate and business leaders. While in Urceopolis, Cheveyo abjured his native religion and adopted Catholicism, bringing shame to his family and leading to young Telucti being ostracized from Varshani society. By 2001, he completed his studies in Urceopolis and wandered much of Cusinaut, spending much of his time in New Harren but becoming familiar with all of Crona as a whole. He became a successful businessman by 2010 and started a pan-Cronan cultural awareness movement. His success in business and representing Cronan culture allowed him to re-enter Varshani society, where he was been an outspoken supporter of Christianization as well as a philanthropist prior to the Final War of the Deluge.

Claimant

Cheveyo spent much of the early 2010s involved with Quetzen societies abroad discussing the needed reforms in their nation, and was first noted in a publication in 2011 to have taken a "special interest" in the nation. In 2015, Cheveyo announced to the world conclusive, peer-reviewed DNA evidence that he was a direct descendant of Quetzen I, the first ruler of a united Quetzenkel. Following the announcement, Cheveyo launched a large public relations campaign - ranging from editorials and histories sponsored by him to a coordinated lobbying effort in the Government of Urcea - to have him considered as a possible successor to Archchief Quetzen XIII who was assassinated as part of the South Nysdra War in 2014.

Though initially dismissed by most policymakers, Urcean leaders began to take Cheveyo seriously as a possible compromise candidate in the country and as a solution to ongoing problems there. Subsequent journalism has also suggested that the Ministry of State of Urcea worked to find a compromise on the issue with Varshan, and that Varshani leadership found Cheveyo broadly acceptable as new Quetzen ruler. It has been alleged that Urcean leaders introduced Cheveyo to several key Quicksilver Industries leaders, who supplied a militia in Crona which supported Cheveyo's claim. Cheveyo's army, which began to call itself the "Legitimists", invaded Quetzenkel in 2016. While Cheveyo initially disaffiliated himself from the group due to its violent nature, he nonetheless accepted leadership of the group by summer 2016. The Legitimists, now supported by Urcea's Royal Air Force, took Akwesasne in late summer 2016, allowing Cheveyo to fly to Quetzenkel and form a provisional government. Serving as Chairman of the Provisional Government from September 1 to 7, he was subsequently proclaimed as King of Quetzenkel, promising significant reforms to the nation and that he would serve as a constitutional monarch in the mold of Riordan VIII. He was officially crowned King in the Cathedral of St. John of the Cross in Akwesasne on 19 March 2017.
