Attributes

bank name
The (original) title of the bank when it was chartered.
charter number
The charter number assigned by the Comptroller’s office and printed on the banknotes (between 1–5 digits).
bank location
The location – city and state (or territory) of the bank.
bank image
An image of the bank, preferably taken during the 1860-1935 time frame. Images of the street are fine, so long as the bank is discernible.
bank image caption
If known, try to include (approximate) year of image
note/tombstone image
An image of a note issued by the bank, or a crop (css image crop preferred) of the tombstone of the note (the center section with the bank’s title).
note/tombstone image caption
Optional – If a note is pictured in full, mention the names of the signers.
charter date
Date (month and year) the bank received their charter and/or opened for business.
close/liquidation date
date (month and year) the bank was liquidated, put into receivership, or closed. If the bank continued in business past the end of the national banking period (1862–1935), put "n/a".
total issue
Amount put into circulation by the bank.
large out
The dollar amount of large-size notes outstanding when the bank closed.
additional titles
Most banks have a single title, but some changed the title of the bank during its existence. Any title after the first is entered here (in the order the titles were used, 2nd title listed first).
founding president
The founding/first president of the bank.
founding cashier
The founding/first cashier of the bank.
founding board
Optional – the founding/organizing board members.
