Devinism is a communist ideology developed by Australic Coscivian Post-Marxism, economist, and military strategist Grand Admiral Varunor Devin. The ideology proposes the establishment of a market socialist sphere of states across the world with Australis at its center. Varunor Devin proposed that world communism could only ultimately be achieved through the forceful military expansion and the gaining of political influence in other countries in order to incite world revolution. Devin believed communism could only succeed in one-party states with vanguardist communist parties dictating national doctrine in each communist state throughout the world. Devin was a firm believer in the concept of the nation-state, and sought to use the political independence and strong military position of Australis to form a series of communist states around the central Austral Democratic People's Republic. This aim was part of the Southern Century initiative undertaken by Devin in the 1910s and is a key component of Devinism to this day. Devin was a staunch opponent of Bairdism, the prevailing communist thought in Carna, as he believed it held no capacity to create the utopian communist society it desired to make. Throughout the Great War Devinism spread to Alshar and Crona through both focused military efforts and popular uprisings across both continents, with the two other most major Devinist states to take power being the Orixtal Socialist Republic (also known as Orixtal or the OSR) composed of modern-day Galicia, Istrenya, Malentina, and Porlos, and the Socialist Republic of Cartesia (also known as Cartesia or the SRC) composed of modern-day Ehemo, Kartejya, and Ehemo. Devin and Devinists believe Devinism to be the most faithful adaptation of the teachings of Carlos Marx while also being the most effective, compared to other more inwardly focused communist ideologies.
