Domestic Terrorism in Chrobonsk

Domestic Terrorism in Chrobonsk is one of the country's greatest issues in the modern era. It is primarily funded and in part caused by criminal organization. Domestic Terrorism is also greatly influenced by the lack of gun laws in the country and the governmental treatment towards certain terror cells over others. The largest terror groups in the nation are rivaling communist paramilitary organizations that are embroiled in a civil war in the mountainous north of Chrobonsk. Recent legislation has been introduced to combat domestic terrorism, such as the Royal Security Act and the Royal Internet Surveillance Act. These, however, have so far been ineffective.

Known Terror Cells

ARKAN

ARKAN, or The Armed Revolutionaries (of) Kurska And Ninkalograd is the largest terrorist cell in the country, comprising of between 5,000 and 10,000 members. ARKAN has claimed full responsibility for nearly half of all domestic terror attacks in Chrobonsk as well as a handful of acts supporting the Clan Bandits in the Five Years' Trouble. ARKAN has evaded capture due to their position in Chrobonsk's mountains, where Royal Forces have a hard time fighting them due to the terrain. Though inactive in recent years, ARKAN has recently released torture and execution videos of local Caphiric Catholic Clergymen - declaring religion an enemy to the state of "The People's Republic of Suratia".

The Suration People's Front

The Suration People's Front (SPF) is a Communist terror group and rival to ARKAN. While ARKAN exists as a unified force in the northern provinces of Chrobonsk, SPF has much smaller cells all over the nation, and acts much more similarly to a Crime Group than a terrorist organization. However, due to their political leanings, the Government has labeled them as a terrorist organization. The SPF used to have a large force that once rivaled ARKAN's in Chrobonsk's North, but due to a drawn out conflict since the early 1990's, SPF's northern cells have fallen into insignificance.

One People, One Land

One People, One Land or OPOL are a Fascist terrorist organization renown for their violent conflicts with the communist paramilitaries. The Government also unofficially sanctions OPOL, with an investigative reporter in 2025 alleging over 500,000$ in support. An uneasy peace is held between government forces and OPOL, and it is speculated that when ARKAN and SPF are dealt with, a majority of OPOL's leadership will be arrested. OPOL's main goal, like ARKAN and SPF, is to overthrow the royal family and the parliament to form a Hyper Nationalist Fascist Government, and to expel all foreigners from the country.
