Minxia City is a city in northwestern Daxia and the center of the country's phosphate production operations. Founded in 1964 as a planned settlement to house the workers of nearby phosphate mines, the city has grown and continued to thrive from this one industry. Starting in the 1990's steel mills began to open in the outskirts, cementing Minxia as a top industrial city. Minxia City is among the top ten most polluted cities in Daxia and is home to the sludge filled Lake Zhenzhu, one of the man made wonders of the modern world.
