Budget
The Department of Education holds a significant financial position as the second-highest recipient of federal funds in the Cartadanian government, following the Department of Health and Human Services. The bulk of the budget is allocated to the Office of General and Post-Secondary Education, which further distributes funds to individual school districts. The remaining 1% of the budget, approximately $16.1 billion, is allocated to six other departmental offices and the three regulated universities.
