The Silen-class submarine (SBN) is a class of Stenzan submarines. It is the only class of ballistic missile submarines in active service with the Stenzan Navy. These ships are a rather mysterious sight, not being spotted often outside their concrete shelters. They are one of the two only classes of nuclear powered vessels operated by the Stenzan navy, and the only one to carry ballistic missiles.

Design

The Silen-class design is based off an enlarged attack submarine design, with room being made to suit the ballistic missiles. The submarine shares design features with the Hae-class submarine, such as the reactor design and other powerplant features.

Operational History

Not much is known about the history of the Silen-class, with the Stenzan government keeping most of the class' service history to itself. It is known that the submarines spend their yard periods in reinforced submarine pens, diving the moment they leave port.
