My Love in Vrilaksigrad is a Chrobonskian Romantic Drama television show written and directed by Dimitri Rokov. Produced by Vasily Karkan. It stars Sergei Alio Minemskovich, Natalie Chirmenski, Flamur Plonk, and Anastasia Alexandrova. It tells the story of a wildly successful Popstar who grows tired of life in the big city and retreats back to his provincial hometown where he reunites with his childhood friends and girlfriend. The show has aired for 21 episodes and has been renewed for 5 extra seasons. The first season aired weekly on Belgrisi Channel 99 as well as being streamed on the app Heart-Chrob.
Synopsis
Sergei Miksa (Minemskovich) is an incredibly famous Popstar from the small village in the eastern provinces who has become wildly successful in his pursuits in music and film. However, after a manic episode causes him to beat a costar half to death during the filming of a gangster TV show, he is advised to take a break from his career and to vacation in his childhood home. There he reunites with his best friend, Yuri Lyuba (Plonk) who is jobless and a recovering alcoholic. As well as his high school sweetheart, Lina Karinina (Chirmenski). Accompanying him back to his hometown is his company assigned liaison, Katrina Uralsk (Alexandrova).
While at first resentful of Sergei’s success, his old friends slowly start to warm up to him, and the ragtag group show Katrina the culture and activities present in rural Chrobonsk. On a hike showcasing this, Sergei accidentally falls off of a small cliff, giving him a brain injury that causes him to lose his memory. The first season ends with him waking up in the hospital to a bedside Lina, awaiting his revival.
