Asteria is a nation blessed by geography. The northern regions of the country are hilly, rising to a massive plateau called the Northern Plateau. Rocky, with some grassy plains and occasional hills, it has been the avenue of historic migrations, whether in nature, or among certain people groups. With rivers along its eastern and western borders, water is vital to the economy of Asteria, including the Yare River, the lifeblood of the country. The Saint Thomas River, called the Gamboa River by Alstin, provides water for the agricultural regions north of Milsboro, while the swampy wetlands of the Lower Counties allows for the production of fruits, vegetables, and rubber trees. Meanwhile, the waters off the coastline in the Sea of Orixtal and the Western Sound offer lands filled with different types of fish, as well as natural gas. The middle of the country in the same region as Concordia going across the width of the nation is made up of hilly regions with thin and fertile valleys where most grain production takes place.

''Is your country hot or cold?''
The climate of Asteria varies depending on the region. Much of the Northern Plateau constitutes high plains, which experiences cooler weather especially during the winter, intermixed with snow during the winter months. Due to it primarily being flat, it is very windy and it often produces destructive tornados and other storms. [[Tornado Alley]] is located in the center of this region, with most towns in the area abandoned following a series of disasters. The hilly regions in the center of the country which include the Rees Hills, Arketa Hills, and the Sachem Hills, surround Concordia and the Yare River Valley. This region is cooler, as the breezy air from the Western Sound blows north, and the hills block the inland warmer wind coming from the north. This area experiences warm summers and cold winters, with snowfall regularly occuring. Meanwhile, the coastal areas from Milsboro to Yarmouth are more humid, and rarely experience any snow during the winter months. They experience more humidity than the areas north of the Yare River.
