The '''Aventurine Bay Colony''' is a Kiravian overseas state located in the subtropical latitudes of Hamilton's Continent. It is home to some four million Kiravian colonists and is noted for its agricultural output and growing tourism sector.  

Aventurine Bay was discovered by the __________-Kiravian navigator Rowan Hamilton on the southern leg of his expedition to the continent that would come to bear his name. The bay itself, which was named by Hamilton's first officer _______ _._._ _________ for the greenish colour of its waters, which resembled that of the gemstone {{wp|aventurine}}. Hamilton's vessel, the ________, entered the bay and laid anchor for two weeks to gather additional provisions from the littoral and map the contours of the bay.

The colony is predominantly (90%) Coscivian, with Fiannrians (8%) constituting the largest minority. Coscivians of Western- and Southern Iaticate-speaking ethnosocial groups account for a majority of the population. The Ispem, Sîcutem, and Verdasinem are the largest ethnosocial groups in the state, though there are also significant numbers of Ardŏgnem, Salridem, Lexamem, Séyunans, Ardanans, Hisrovem, and Herumem. The descendants of Ańlem, Kaltem, Ańrisem, and Ærem transplanted from the Kiravian colonies of [[Aurada]] and [[Nerthalia]] make up the second-largest contingent among the Coscivian population.  

Just over half of Aventurines declare Coscivian Orthodoxy as their religion, and over a quarter of the remainder profess Roman Catholicism. Ruricanism, a Coscivian monotheïstic religion, has a significant following, especially in syncretism with Coscivian Orthodoxy.
