The law of Faneria refers to the legal system of Faneria, which operates under a modified Quaternalist structure. Faneria prior to 1909 operated on a system of common law with a number of overlapping and contradictory Royal, local, and customary legal codes which were replaced wholesale with a form of civil law in stages between 1909 and 1922. Laws in Faneria are first subject to its Constitution, with Citizens', Civil, Criminal, and Commercial codes of law governing proper procedures, penalty maximums and minimums, and operational ethics within the legal system.
