Deng Darro is a Corummese businessman and white collar criminal. Born in Zhijun to members of the island's Corummese elite, Darro attended the prestigious Zhijun Polytechnic before being expelled at age 17 for getting caught selling the answers for the admission exam. During a brief patriotic, drug induced haze he proceeded to enlist and was assigned to the Army of Conquest and was shipped off to Crona. After the briefest stint of frontline duty and several instances of cowardice and poor trigger discipline he was relegated to a desk job. His talent for numbers was recognized by superiors and he was transferred to work at the military-run North Crona Production and Construction Corporation.

Promoted to Director in the company's housing division, he oversaw the construction of housing for military units and concentration camps for relocated natives. Military prosecutors later alleged he arranged inflated bids for construction contracts and pocketed the difference, becoming known as Mister Twenty-Percent. Its estimated he cost the army up to 3 billion lire from his schemes. With help from his parents, Darro resigned from the military and fled to Stenza before a case was made against him. He would surface in 2026, back again in Zhijun having somehow been made Deputy Minister of Resource Extraction of the local administration.
