It was constructed by [[House de Weluta]] in the 1780s in order to establish a more luxurious home in [[Canaery]], where the [[Apostolic King of Urcea]] - then also the [[Emperor of the Levantines]] - spent much of the year residing on [[Holy Levantine Empire|Imperial]] business. During the [[Recess of the Julii]] and [[Aedanicad]] the building fell out of use for official functions, but during the reign of [[King Aedanicus VIII]] it became the unofficial residence of the [[Principality of Halfway|Prince of Halfway]] upon coming of age, a status it has retained through the modern era. The palace and its grounds are also sometimes used for conferences with foreign leaders, especially those leaders from [[Burgundie]] or [[Sarpedon]]. Electorsbourg was the site of the final peace negotiation that ended the [[Third Fratricide]], and unofficial negotiations between [[Urcea]] and [[Caphiria]] in the run-up to the [[Great War]] occurred at Electorsbourg. | |||
