Îkodha (/aɪ.koːða/) is an inland state located in the Premontane Northwest of Great Kirav. Among the least-densely populated states on the island continent, Îkodha is a primarily rural and agrarian state, and forms part of the Northwestern cultural region.

Geography

Îkodha borders Kyllera to the south-southeast, Kensonia to the south-southwest, Asperidan to the north-northwest, and Manaskan Territory to the north.

The state has a generally continental climate with some areas better characterised as cold semi-arid. The climate is more humid in the eastern and northeastern parts of the state, which are moderately forested. The western areas are progressively drier as one approaches the Western Highlands, with more steppe-like characteristics. Much of the state's grasslands have been converted to cropland or pasture.

History

Îkodha Territory was carved out of the Northwest Territory in [YEAR].

Under the single-party Kirosocialist rule of the Kiravian Union, the subject-level administrations of some inland and Western Highland states and territories were consolidated, even though the individual states and territories continued to exist on paper. Îkodha was administratively merged with Kyllera and Ykraine as the South Premontane Union District and subjected to extreme neglect by the national government.

Governance

The Congress of Îkodha is a part-time, volunteer, officially nonpartisan legislature. Congress convenes twice a year, once in late autumn and once in midsummer, at variable dates usually corresponding to the completion of seasonal agricultural activities, as determined by the President of the previous session of Congress in consultation with the state's elected Chief Agricultural Commissioner.

Îkodha has a long tradition of agrarian and populist political movements, and is a hotbed of support for social credit.

Society & Culture

Major Coscivian ethnic groups in Îkodha include Saskan Coscivians, Eshavian Coscivians, Antaric Coscivians, Northern Coscivians, Eastern Coscivians, and smaller communities of Valosian Coscivians.

35% of Îkodhan households have in-home internet access. 82% of those with internet access have dial-up service.
