Coribus

Coribus is an island situated in the mid-western Odoneru Ocean, situated roughly evenly between metropolitan Kiravia to its north, Uruvun to the east, Vallos to the south, and Crona to the west. It is xxx square miles large and dominated by a settlement of the same name.

Coribus was originally settled by Cronan people who likely arrived on Heaven Ships, forming a small population by the time of the arrival of Coscivian merchants, but a lack of fresh water sources on the island made permanent habitation difficult for the Coscivians outside of the rainy season. The McDickus family [standin] took possession of the island from the natives as an emergency stop for ships and later a resupply point until 1850, when it was purchased as a private resort island for the monarchs of Faneria, who built the island up at considerable personal expense. An early desalination plant was built in 1872 to better facilitate permanent residents and the needs of guests.

The island became the private holding of the Monarchy after the Fhainnin Civil War, with the last King of the Fhainn, Antaine Lohr-Mártainn, living there for several years. In 1918, the island was seized by Caphiria. During the Second Great War, it was taken by Urcea, but subsequently returned to Caphiria as part of the Assumption Accords.
