Hardly known by the Istroyan and Adonerii civilations, the Northern Levantine Slavic tribes have nothing in the way of a written history. Oral tradition recalls a number of disparate tribes in the mountains of modern Diamavya, the Mortropiv Union, and Yorovek. These tribes known collectively as the Nordii in the Latin speaking world and Kikkinos by the Istroyans. The two most notable tribes in the region of Diamavya were the Vevatov and the Moropov. The Vevtov were very barbaric. They tortured, multilated, and enslaved their own people as well as the tribes around them. They expanded over the vast regions in the Gabben and Noroeste regions of Diamavya and northern Yorovek. They did not form a system of governance but rather leveled a taxation system of slaves and human sacrificies. Through this method tribes were able to mitigate wholesale extinction. The violent practices kept the total population of Northern Levantia comparatively low. The population within the bounds of modern Diamavya, west of the Gabbenian Land Bridge around the year 0 is estimated to be less than 500,000. In the eastern part of the country the Moropov tribal confederation expanded through migration from around 150 BC to 326 AD to an area that covers the northern parts of the Mortropiv Union and the Pohrank region of Diamavya. They formed a confederation of tribal alliances and allegencies that saw the beginning of a collective identity that would lead to the creation of the Mortropiv Union, but also galvanized many tribal Slavs in the modern Suderavia region against them. This sense of otherness led to the rise of a short lived Sudravian Kingdom as coastal tribes formed a military alliance against the Moropov confederation. Sudravia lasted from 303 until 372 but put a stop the migration of the Moropov and is considered the first formal government of Diamavya. Lacking a unifying purpose, the tribal leadership started infighting and the kingdom collapsed. In response to the collective might of the Sudravian Kingdom, the northern most Moropovs formed a kingdom of their own. They abandoned their nomadic lifestyle and formed famring communities which became cities. Legoscasa, Selittspol, and Inlandopolis all have their origins as Moropovs settlements. The kings of Moropov ruled from 412-1103. By the 6th century, the Moropov Kingdom had became the major power broker in northeastern Levantia.
The population of Diamavya that exists today is largely made up of the original natives of Diamavya. The origin of these natives is unknown although some suspect the migrated from Southern Levantia. The natives spoke an old form of Diamavyan, which is unrecognizable when compared to modern Diamavyan. The natives lived very barbarically, they tortured, mutilated, and enslaved their own people despite all being the same people. These ruthless murders were mostly tied to the victim's associated tribe, although regional conflicts were prominent as well. The old Diamavyans overall were set on creating a master race of brutal warriors, ones that could conquer the world without emotion or care, with only victory in mind. The aforementioned goal of the barbarians was never realized due to the extreme internal conflict between and even in tribes. The tribe that got the closest to a tribally “pure” empire (for lack of a better term) was the Mortropivs, who settled across a large area of western Gabben. They founded settlements such as Grand Nokkendelle, Stallvarden (now Stallvard Ridge), Neskkendolle, and Anclaverden (now known as Anclaverad), although countless smaller settlements were founded in their name.
The Archipelago of Las Acronitas
The earliest civilization known to lead to what is now Diamavya is The Archipelago of Las Acronitas. Now known as the Overseas Archipelago of Las Acronitas, also the thirtieth province of the Federal Republic of Diamavya is given credit for sending the first explorers to the outside world. The aboriginal people of Las Acronitas made it a priority of theirs to escape the confines of their isolated island in equatorial Crona, as the had a limited amount of land and unsustainable amount of resources. The people of Las Acronitas, early on, were highly nationalistic and imperialistic, looking to see a world where their empire could stretch from sea to sea. Unfortunately, the Lacronitine people were very isolated and had little experience sailing outside of the Taínean Sea. After countless failures to sail the Taínean Sea the Lacronitine explorers reached the modern day shores of western Diamavya in the region of Suderavia, where they began settlement attempts in Diamavya starting as early as 863 AD. Most of the settlement attempts made the Lacronitine explorers were largely unsuccessful, commonly ending due to disease or famine, although both not mutually exclusive. The first successful settlement of Diamavya was on the tip of the northeastern shores of Diamavya in 941 AD. The settlement was dubbed "Punto Alto", which is Lacronitine for "High Point". Punto Alto in 900 AD can be seen on the left of this text.
The Lacronitine Conquest
While early settlement was largely unsuccessful the Lacronitine colonizers who lived were able to tell their tales. The would return to Las Acronitas with knowledge, as the Lacronitine colony spread rapidly across Noroeste on the foreign environment of present-day Diamavya. The Lacronitine, unfortunately, landed in the notoriously mountainous region of Diamavya known as Suderavia, which caused more deaths and disappearances in Diamavya's plentiful gorges. This led to the Lacronitine explorers abandoning colonization in Suderavia, in favour of the flatter midwest region of Noroeste. Although settlement continued in Sudervia with towns such as Costa Ciugas, Los Nerivas, and Merslotta being prominent cities in Diamavya today. The Lacronitine are reported to have arrived in Noroeste around 1011 AD, as assumed by preserved settlements and artifacts. The flatter and warmer terrain was significantly easier to colonize and similar to the terrain of Las Acronitas. Settlement spread rapidly and successfully with towns like Pluntenas, Usta Del Vogo, Ridgrenna (now known as Ridgrenport), and Panalopa (now known as Panallery).
Gabbenian Land Bridge
The Lacronitine conquest picked up steam around 1050 AD in these flatter Noroestern lands. The native populous ultimately was a problem though. The Lacronitine reported back to Las Acronitas that the natives were becoming a problem for the colonizers, as they were extremely hostile and aggressive to the colonizers. So many of the colonizers were disappearing due to being captured by the natives that Suderavia was becoming more and more favourable than Noroeste, that was until Lacronitine came up with a brilliant but unorthodox idea. The Lacronitine colonizers began bringing their sickly populous to use against the native populous of Diamavya. This would become the first instant of biochemical warfare in all of Ixnay. The native population was dying rapidly, as they had never been exposed to these diseases before. The diseased Lacronitines were suspected to have a kind of Viral Hemorrhagic Fever (also known as VHF). The only natives that came out from this plague alive, being the aforementioned Mortropivs. Being further away from the Lacronitine colonizers and having stronger immune systems overall allowed the Mortropivs to outlast the plague. As the Lacronitine continued exploring Diamavya the reached the Gabbenian Land Bridge, the infamous border the Mortropivs had defended for hundreds of years. The Mortropivs were not ready to give up their land without a fight. The Mortropivs launched a large scale attack on the Lacronitine on May 11th, 1047. This day is celebrated in Gabben as Reclamation Day.
First Gabbenian War
On May 12th, 1047 the Lacronitine Empire declared war on the Mortropivs and claimed the region of Gabben as part of their empire. The Mortropivs and Lacronitine violently fought against each other for years on end, using any means necessary to conquer the other. The Lacronitine continued to use biochemical warfare but to limited success. On the other hand, the Mortropivs had technology far more primitive than the Lacronitine. This turned the First Gabbenian War into a war of attrition, one that the Lacronitine were not prepared for. The Mortropivs has a significantly high birth rate, allowing them to produce more soldiers than they lost. Child soldiers were necessary to the Mortropiv ranks, which the Lacronitine found appalling. The reluctancy of the Lacronitine to resort to the ways of the Mortropiv ultimately lead to a Mortropiv victory in 1104. The Mortropivs were surprisingly merciful in dealing with the Lacronitine, as their terms were as follows. The Lacronitine had to remain within the confines of modern day Suderavia, Pohrank, and Magnavina. As well, the Lacronitine were granted a large sum of land in Northern Gabben, as the Mortropivs found the climate unfavourable. The Lacronitine had no choice but to comply with the demands of the Mortropivs. As a result of the Mortropiv victory, the Lacronitine Empire was severely confined. All Pohrank, Noroestern, and Southern Gabben settlement was abandoned, as the Lacronitine Empire was not in a place to negotiate the terms of their surrender. The Lacronitine army was diminished with only hundreds of troops left, leaving the Lacronitine Empire defenseless against the clearly hostile and angry Mortropiv native populace. The Lacronitine Empire built the massive Wall of North Gabben to protect themselves from native attack. The North Gabben Wall, as still seen standing today, can be viewed left of this body text.
In the early 960s, it was estimated that ethnic Bergendii pirates and privateers arrived in the environs of modern-day Euroborough. They made their living by pillaging and plundering the coastal communities, as well as proto-Coscivian and Pauldustllahstani merchantile traffic along the coast. As they amassed wealth they needed places to store their plunder and in 1015 settled a small enclave in what is today known as Hiemp's Landing. The natural harbor provided them protection and was surrounded by distant mountains that made an overland attack less feasible. It is estimated that Hiemp's Landing was a wintering harbor for the Bladerunners that was abandoned in the summer months and then rebuilt each autumn until it was more permanently settled in the 1080s as it became a trading post for natives and more enterprise-minded Bergendii residents. By the end of the first wave of bladerunners, in the 1140s, most of the Bergendii had returned to Levantia to join the Kistani navy, but about 100 remained in the newly incorporated city. Over the next 100 years, the Bergendii intermingled with the locals and bred themselves out of existence but their offspring lived a very Levantine lifestyle. They practiced Levantine Catholicism, they utilized Latinic architecture, they spoke a form of Latinum vulgare, built roads, minted coins, and formed a small representative government to arbitrate issues of governance. In time they were subsumed peaceably into the expanding Lacronitine empire providing valuable military service against other less civilized natives. In 1268, another group of Bergendii Bladerunners arrived on the Diamavyan shore. They were much more violent than their forebearers and sought to settle lands only using piracy as a means to an end. They came into direct conflict with the Lacronitines at the port of Costa Ciugas. Both civilizations sought to exploit the lush undeveloped lands of modern-day Mardelle Sudeste. The Bladerunners captured the port and established their kingdom that existed alongside the Lacronitine Empire. Their territory extended across much of modern-day Balaclava, Mardelline, Negavitabe, and much of the territory surrounding the Vandarch. But this was only the beginning of something much bigger to come.
The Magnian's quickly spread across Diamavya bringing their culture and way of life with them. They colonized the land much more easily than the Lacronitine ever could, spreading through the deep gorges of Suderavia, the viscous marshes of Pohrank, and the endless plains of Magnavina until reaching the Gabbenian land bridge, where the Lacronitine Empire met its end. Years had passed since the First Gabbenian War, the Mortropivs had since repopulated the area and were ready to fight for it once again, but the Magnians were skilled in combat and ready to continue their grand quest of seizing Diamavya. All the Mortropivs in Magnavina had been captured and enslaved by the Magnians, leaving the Mortropivs of Gabben on their own in conflict against the skillful Magnians. When the Magnians first attacked the Gabbenian Land Bridge their forces were smaller than the Mortropivs expected, the Mortropivs were able to take on the incoming forces with a reasonable amount of ease, but no progress was made by either side. The Magnians quickly fortified near the eastern edge of modern Bogshire while the Mortropivs followed suit, fortifying near the western edge of modern Bogshire. It was quickly becoming like the First War of Gabben, in which both sides would make no land gain for months without end, and so it did for two years, but that was for a very sinister reason. Many Magnians returned to Burgundie to the western petty bladerunner states in 1295 in hope of getting recruits to fight for, what they called, "Cronan Burgundie", despite the fact that the land was not controlled by Burgundie. Many were convinced to join the army with the first troops arriving in 1296, which in turn gradually made the Magnian Army grow larger and larger until the Mortropivs couldn't keep up. This marked the end of the historical Magnian Sweep in 1296, as the Magnian Army finally was able to sweep Diamavya. The war was just beginning, but the Magnians had victory in their sights.
Second Gabbenian War
The Second Gabbenian War is distinct from the First Gabbenian War as it was fought between three belligerent nations, Magnia, Mortropiv Occupied Gabben, and the Lacronitine Empire. The Second Gabbenian War also had many fronts, although the main fronts being North Gabben Wall (Mortropiv Occupied Gabben versus the Lacronitine Empire), the Gabbenian Land Bridge (Mortropiv Occupied Gabben versus Magnia), and the Mardelline Gorge conquest (Magnia versus the Lacronitine Empire).
Great Lake Genocide
The Great Lake Genocide was a massive genocide on the Vandarch that took place between 1300 and 1302. The genocide was conducted by the Lacronitine Empire after they conquered the Mortropiv controlled territory in Gabben. Plans of the genocide began at the closing of the Second Gabbenian War as the Lacronitine Empire needed to create more living space for the rapidly expanding Lacronitine populace, especially given the growing Burgundian-backed Magnian Kingdom. Given how far away Las Acronitas was from the rest of its holdings it needed to snuff out any potential stressors to its already fragile and divided empire.
After capturing the last of the remaining Mortropiv territory in Gabben the Lacronitine Empire had planned to simply burn down any Mortropiv settlements it could find, but the Kingdom of Magnia urged the empire to value the lives of the natives that had long inhabited the land before them. This comment came with much hypocrisy as Magnia would later deport the natives to the present-day Mortropiv Union, though this was done to protect the natives from the Lacronitine Empire.
The Mortropiv people were gathered up into camps where they were forced to help developed settlements until they couldn't work anymore. Many rebellions took place but were all crushed by the more capable Lacronitine military. It's estimated that over 10,000 Mortropiv natives were murdered by the Lacronitine, which would have lead to their extinction if it weren't for Magnia's efforts in deporting the natives as quickly as possible.
This mass deportation, while less vile, still led to the deaths of hundreds of natives due to the lack of productive land, low number of animals, and freezing cold climate. The mountains of the Mortropiv Union are noted to be some of the most extreme locations on Ixnay, with explorers of the region all noting how impossible it was to settle the land, let alone make use of it.
This genocide still causes much strife between Diamavya and the Mortropiv Union, and it is taught in the national curriculum of both countries as one of the worst atrocities ever committed on Diamavyan soil. The Mortropiv Union has gone as far as to ban all travel to Las Acronitas until an official apology is given by the leader of the Lacronitine Empire. As the Lacronitine Empire has long been defunct it's unknown who should be the one to give the official apology, with lawmakers from both countries trying to determine who should respond. But until further notice, the ban has not been lifted, making business between the Mortropiv Union and Las Acronitas difficult and unorthodox.

Diamavyan Golden Age
Diamavya had been experiencing a long period of success economically and militarily. It had been years since the country had been involved in any major war, the country is as unified as could be, and is a model economy that many other Levantine rivals tried to follow. For the first time in decades Diamavya was a leading power in not only Levantia, but the world at large. This period of history is known as the Diamavyan Golden Age, and is said to have started as early as 1870. Many businesses in Diamavya today started up in this time period, like Preserva Istopazive in 1873, the Bank of Magnimperium in 1878, InterKronz in 1886, Pohrank Voynagotav in 1902, and many more. This was great news for the Diamavyan government, as it showed them that not getting overly involved was not only a legitimate form of governance, but an effective one at that. This as well allowed the Diamavyan Unity Party to gain massive amounts of support for doing little governance outside of PR. This was a recipe for disaster in the making, but the conditions in Diamavya were just right to allow major economic growth and innovation. All was well and good until the 1920's came around and the turmoil that had been brewing in the country finally revealed itself. While the government saw the success of the country in Magnavina and Gabben, industry was slow in Noroeste, and yet it wasn't nearly as bad as in southern Suderavia and especially Pohrank.
The Tense 20's
The 1920's saw years of government arrogance and ignorance start to affect those most angry at the country's leadership. Pohrank and southern Suderavia hadn't reaped the benefits of the Diamavyan Golden Age due to the government's sole focus on the economically strong Magnavina and Gabben. To Pohrank and southern Suderavia it seemed as if they were cheated out of what was supposed to be the resurgence of Diamavya. Unrest grew in this populace as local governments in the regions would abuse their power for personal gain and create legislation such as the infamous "Floodgate Act" which allowed ships from landlocked nations to travel freely through the Vandarch (the lake between Diamavya and the Mortropiv Union), which caused massive amounts of pollution and much of the beautiful waterfront become taken up by large piers along with businesses and rich families taking up shop right on the waterfront, cutting off the general populace from the once public beaches. This would only be the beginning of a slippery slope to revolution, as the populace had not even seen the worst of the tense 20's. In 1927 local politicians began evicting residents from the Pohrank countryside in a supposed effort to "stop improper use of the farmland", which in reality made more land for large agricultural companies to move in. The federal government was blind to all that was going on in Pohrank, as local politicians were able to boast about the industrialization of the region and the development of major cities like Nepekun and Jarvenkana. Locals would say that Pohrank was essentially the private colony of a secret, corrupt, corporate union. This corporate union would prove to be real in 1929 when they dubbed themselves the Pohrank Trust Fund, and said they only wished to strengthen the weak Pohrank economy. While the economy experienced minor growth under the Pohrank Trust Fund, it was largely just a front to keep the shadow government in power. This was the last straw for the general populace, and would see an end to the Diamavyan Golden Age.

BMO Bogshire Terrorist Attack
In 2033 the BMO Bogshire Tower was bombed in a large terrorist attack perpetrated by a group of Punthite terrorists. The group hacked televisions broadcasts minutes before the massive explosion went off in the tower. In their message an official from the group said the following, "We are the representatives of those who have been abused by this corrupt and uncaring government. We are the people who will bring an end to the human rights abuse committed by Diamavyan corporations overseas, we are those who will no longer stay silent in this immoral country. We are the Punthite Sustadah, and this is only our beginning." The broadcast ended with citizens of Bogshire looking out their windows in horror at the BMO Bogshire Tower going up in flames. The size of the explosions with all the damage it did to the building suggested the tower would not stand much longer, with emergency services trying to help as many people as they could escape the flaming building. This led people to question the origins of this attack and who to blame for its happening. The origins of the broadcast were traced back to rural southwestern Punthite Republic, only found with help from the government of Burgundie in Nova Levantx. The casualties were innumerable and the populace was furious at the National Conservative Party of Diamavya. This prompted many to call for an election, with riots demanding mere days after the attack. The Las Acronitas Revolutionaries, which received a large donation from BMO prior to the attacks, demanded an election be held due to the increasing unpopularity of the NCPC. The LAR party skyrocketed in support and would come to easily win the 2033 Flash Election.
