'''Oselota Cars''', the successor to the '''7th People's Plant for Automotive Manufacturing''', is [[Stenza|Stenza's]] largest and most powerful automotive company. The company is a responsible for the majority of the vehicles seen on Stenza's roads today, and holds a majority share of the vehicles exported from Stenza. The company was founded in 1982, when the Stenzan party allowed previously state-owned manufacturing plants to privatize under their current management to aid the growth of Stenza's economy. The company took off, expanding the plant's previously mostly military portfolio by adding its own civilian designs. The designs were proven to be both cheap and reliable, allowing Stenzan citizens to get around Stenza's unreliable road network in relative safely.

Schulahaun, officially known as Schullerhausen,[1] is the capital and largest city of the Central Province of Hendalarsk, itself the country's most populous administrative division. Located on the lower Zalgis, Schullerhausen is one of the most economically important cities in the country, while the Lower Zalgis conurbation of which it forms an integral part is the second-largest urban area in the country, after Greater Zalgisbeck.

For centuries a market town of little wider importance, Schulahaun was catapulted to prominence by the Industrial Revolution in Hendalarsk due to the many coal seams in the area and its strategic location in the centre of the country, which made it a natural hub for the country's burgeoning railway network. Despite its devastation in the Hendalarskara Civil War, in which it was a key battleground, Schulahaun rebounded quickly in the subsequent decades of peace, with much of its reconstruction taking place in the landmark Neukláheid architectural style, and the city is now a key part of Hendalarsk's green "second industrial revolution". Schulahaun is also one of the country's major cultural centres, particularly in music and cinema.

Twinned settlements

Hendalarskara cities have been active participants in the international twinning movement since its early days, and Schulahaun is no exception. The city is twinned with many foreign settlements, most notably the Metzettan city of Jamsu.

Notes

  1. As with many other cities in Hendalarsk, like Frehmenwerth, Schulahaun was officially (re)named during a period in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries when it was considered more prestigious to name cities after an imagined pan-Gothic ideal; authorities have generally opted to stick with these older names even as their pronunciation in standard Hendalarskisch has dramatically diverged.
