The Protestant Union was a coalition of Protestant members within the Holy Levantine Empire during the mid-16th century who were joined together for the purposes of mutual defense and establishing either religious toleration or Protestant ascendancy within the Empire. Its founding members were the Kingdom of Gassavelia, Urcea under the House of Ronan, the Philaridon Republic, and various principalities within the Kingdom of Dericania. The Union was established as a response to the destruction of the Kingdom of Angla by the Catholic Emperor of the Levantines in the Nordmontaine War. Its primary opponent was the Holy League, a similar alliance of Catholic states, which it faced in the Great Confessional War.

The Protestant Union was at the end of the Great Confessional War with its total destruction. The Kingdom of Gassavelia was partitioned between Urcea under the restored de Welutas and the Kingdom of Dericania, and all Protestant landholders in the Empire were stripped of their titles and persecuted during the Dragonnades.
