The Teilgcheárta de Armachd Nàiseanta Fhainn (TANF/National Armor Plant) is a state-owned and operated company in Faneria. It consists of six properties and several branches, including a think tank, design firm, and manufacturing and representative branches, and is responsible for hull construction and general design/testing and deployment of armored vehicles for the Fhainnin Army in conjunction with other select companies and foreign design firms. It produces armored cars, APC/IFVs, tanks, self-propelled carriages for artillery pieces, although its lighter armored cars are often subcontracted to allow a focus on production of its heavier equipment.
History
The TANF was founded as a branch of the National Arms Foundry in 1910 as an armored car and armored train manufacturer. After the development of the first tracked armored vehicles for Faneria's army, such as the _____, the branch was split off into its own organization in 1918 to focus on the production of tanks. THis would expand to tracked fighting vehicles in general with the absorption of the private company Teilgcheárta de Armann Marlfaeld in 1923 due to its development of the Casúr self-propelled gun carriage. It remained in operation throughout the Great War, barely surviving the financial disasters of the 1940s to begin producing new vehicles such as the Bataís Armored Fighting Vehicle.
In the modern day, TANF has regained its reputation as a venerable military systems designer, providing products such as its flagship line of tanks, engineering vehicles, and other support variants of its products.
