Originally run as an independent newspaper for the city of Teindún, the paper attracted a significant readership for its quality and distribution as the largest paper in the country's most populous city, and was purchased by the government in 1943 under Cillac Batais as a platform for communication with the public. Its content is largely day-to-day, with constant updates on geopolitical situations, local disasters, technology news, and travel and trade information.
