The Hendalarsk men's national football team is the association football (or "soccer") team representing Hendalarsk in international competition. Hendalarsk was one of the sport's early adopters, with the game particularly popular in the industrial cities of the Zalgis watershed, and the idea of an "international XI" formed from the country's best players had begun to circulate by the turn of the twentieth century. Progress on the idea was stymied by a lengthy and bitter debate over whether Khunyeria should have its own football association; in 1907 it was decided that the national team should be a truly all-nation enterprise, and the Khunyer goalkeeper Horváth Salamon was in goal during the Hendalarskara men's team's inaugural fixture the following year, a 1-0 defeat away to [x]. Undisturbed by the great conflicts of the era, the national team experienced a golden age in the 1950s, challenging for silverware on both a continental and global level.
