Unintra, officially the Federal Republic of Unintra, is a country in Levantia. It is neighbored by Fiannria to the East, the Kilikas Sea to the West, and a tiny strip of land that connects Unintra to Suderavia.
Unintra is a member of the League of Nations.
Etymology
Unintra comes from the Old Luckviram word Wyunivtra meaning "The Group". It is meant to symbolise the Group of Representatives that travelled to Karairan and Signed the first Constitution of Unintra in Unison in 320.
History
What is a general overview of your country's path through history?
Unification and Early Era 320-908
The Idea of a Unintra started following the increasing cooperation Between The 3 city-states of Karairan, Luckvarum and Rosvita and Several other smaller Clans. They Desired to formalise this deep Connection with one-another by Officially Declaring The State of 'the group' or Wyunivtra. They were mostly neutral during the early part of their history, owing to their geographic isolation and weak military. they mostly traded with other nations and maintained friendly relations with their more powerful neighbours. the Council of Nobles was Created as the predecessor to the Modern Khongchel. this institution was primarily split between the 3 cities of Unintra, Luckvarum, Rosvita and Karairan. while the other Clans were gven a small amount of Seats compared to them. The king was also given a personal seat in the Council. This was also where the Judiciary and Civil law was created by the Scholars of Unintra. This period was ended though, following the Assasination of a prominent Pro-peasant Noblemen, which resulted in the Luckviram Riots.
Revolution and Imperial Expansion 908-1211
Despite the concessions given to the Protesters and strikers. they weren't at all satisfied. they launched a popular revolution in the events known as the Luckviram Riots. they seized the Capital and killed the Councilmen and Royalty. they then replaced it with a Peasant council, this lasted for a year before the Military, with support from some former Councilmen, retook Luckviram, the center of the Peasant Alliance and brought down the revolution. They brought in charge a member of the military to act as "temporary guardian" of Unintra. where, in reality they wanted to usurp the power of the remaining Councilmen. The Military, led by the General, Andilac, defeated the remaining royalists at the battle of the Zoques Fields. Now with the Nobles gone and the military under full control, Andilac Instituted a number of Reforms meant to pacify the population. he gave the Population increased amounts of food, he cracked down on corruption, and gave a more independant Judiciary. This was also where the 2 first Educational Institutions of Unintra. the Royal University of Unintra, and the Rosvitan School of Science, which were even visited by Andilac. This won the hearts and minds of the Unintran populace, in particular, the Scholars, which were given increased freedom and funding for their experiments. however, his legacy would soon be tarnished, for his military atrocities across Unintra and the Wlumnias Peninsula. He committed infamous warcrimes and participated in the brutal cultural genocide of many of the people living outside Unintra, like the Sistia slaughter, or the Erkili Genocide. He expanded the to the size they were today, all in a bid to Unite the Various People of what he Called his Wlumnias Dream. His atrocities were kept secret until only recently, and many people still have mixed feeling about his legacy. but a popular name that is associated by him is the Luckviram Tyrant. His regime was succeeded by his son and grandson, until the military Junta was brought down by internal strife, and replaced by a Technocratic Aristocracy.
Unissance Age
Wlumnias Wars Period
The Wlumnias Wars Period was a series of Conflicts, both external and Internal. It marked the Decline of external Power projection for Unintra, which resulted in Increased isolation with the rest of the World. The Period was started with the Advent of the Yulza Wars. Between Unintra, and a Rival Confederation known as Gjenowa, which consisted of the Aprotarivans, Clovirians, Zolwians and anumber of Yuianians. The Wyunintrans Controlled the Northern Part of the Peninsula, while the Gjenowans had considerable Influence in the South. They were led by the Dominion Supreme....... The war started with the Gjenowans claiming the Strategic strait of [Name in factbook]. However, the Unintrans had already made an alliance with the Local Yuianians. War was inevitable, particularly after the Attack on the Governor of [Strait/region name] and within 2 weeks. Official hostilities were declared.
The Gjenowans, who had controlled the Trade between Unintra and the rest of the continent ,blocaded the only access of trade from Unintra to the outside world. The Much more superior Gjenowan navy consistedly destroyed and raided the coastal cities of Unintra, which led to the Great burning of Luckvarum in [date], killing 2000 People and severely destroying the only naval base of Unintra and the Wyunintran navy as a whole.
The Unintrans Were pushed back, leading to the capture of most of their southern territories, and leading to the seige of Dwenos.
The situation was dire for the Unintrans. The Gjenowans heavily outnumbered them, and having an advanced army was proving effective against the Unintrans.
A truce was declared, where Unintra would relinquish it's Claim on the [Strait/region name], and that Luckvarum would be occupied for 2 years.

What is the general explanation of how your country exists within the world?
Climate and environment
The Unintran environment is rich in biodiversity, with lush forests in the NorthEast, the large field of geothermal hot wells and the cold, snowy cliffs in the South. The most famous of those is Mount Fluckzuck, the tallest mountain in Unintra. It also holds host to the world heritage sight of the Orphelia Hot wells. [more precise description and pictures will be added]
The government makes it a priority to protect the diverse ecosystems of Unintra, with stringent eco-friendly legislation that protects the vast array of national parks that the government since 1890, with the Environmental Conservation Act. This early environmental legislation covered the destruction of non renewables on the environment and human life, and much stricter regulation on waste practices. This was due to the Incresing protests by influential Scientists and Naturalists, who saw the rapid destruction of the environment, and the increased awareness of the importance and beauty of the natural world. but the main turning point, was the Great Death of Dwenos, which resulted on over 10'000 Victims suffering Sickness and Death, because of the large amount of Smog that covered the city. Because of this, most Production and Energy generation is required to meet environmental regulation.
The government has also started a project to conserve and maintain the biodiversity of the planet by collecting samples from each and every one of the Plants, animals and other living things. to maintain an archive of them in the Luckviram Seed Vault. it is also used as a way to access scientific genetic material easier for biologists and other related researchers.
Government and Politics
Unintra is a Multi-party, Semi-direct, Federal Democracy with proportional representation(Ranked-choice voting with Single transferable Vote) within a bicameral legislature and an Executive Council. The Federal Parliament (and their committees) and government is located in the Firlis Complex and Molarkan Square respectively in Karairan, while the Grand Court is located in Luckvarum.
Executive
Unintra's Executive Branch is Headed by the Executive Council, a Group of Ministers Elected after the Parliamentary Elections by Popular vote every 6 years. They specialise in different Domains and Departments. Their Main Job is to Represent the Nation in Foreign Affairs and Administer Policies and Laws throughout the Country. The Council Elects a Minister-President, which serves as the ceremonial Leader of Unintra and the Council, although they don't acquire any special powers from this position.
Legislative
The Legislative Branch of Unintra is Headed by the Unintran Khongchel, of Federal Parliament. It is a Bicameral institution with the People's Assembly and the State Senate. The state senate has 5 senators per Canton, totaling in 100 seats. While the people's assembly has 900 seats. Senators are elected every 6 years and Asembly Representatives every 4 years. Any house can propose a bill, and bills can also be proposed by an initiative(action or law proposed by a group or person containing enough signatures [100'000 signatures in 18 months for Bills]) Only Parliament( both houses together) can vote and veto a bill or law, going through both houses. Amendments of the constitution need to go through a general referendum as well. The current Ruling coalition is Between the Social-Democratic Union, The Greens, and the Left Alliance
Federal subdivisions
Unintra is Divided into 20 Cantons, each having local Autonomy from the Federal Government [Link Needed for Exact Laws] which control Cantonal Infrastructure and Collect taxes among others. they are further divided into Boroughs which mostly serve to Divide local Police and Fire services.
Politics
Since Unintra is a Multi-party Democracy, several Large political factions exist in Unintra. Within Parliament, the Largest Political Parties are The Social-Democratic Union and the Liberal Democrats. They are the Main Factions within the Khongchel and Unintran Politics as a whole. While the Socialists, Techno-Democrats, and Independents are a strong force in Local Elections. The Conservatives have support mostly in the Rural Areas, however they compete with the Techno-Democrats as they have historically held a monopoly of Support in those areas.[link for detailed explanation needed]
Law
The main source of law for Unintra is the Constitution. The Constitution which guarantees Civil and Political Rights, Functions of Government and Citizenship among others[Link for The Bill of Rights and Role of Government to be Added]. They are Added with the Basic Law and Civil Charter of Unintra, which The Wyunintravi are Required to Learn at School. The Highest Level of the Judicial Branch is the Grand Court in Luckvarum, they arbitrate on Constitutional Decisions and either confirm of Reject them. The Court is made up of 10 Judges which are Appointed by the Assembly every 10 years

Unintra maintains a quite small and static population, growing only by about 0,8% each year on average. it has a population of around 51,3 million Wyunintrans. the median age is 30,9 years. the largest city in Unintra is Luckvarum, with a population of 6,5 million people, followed by Unintra City. while the capital of Unintra, Karairan has a population of around 4,8 million people. the HDI of Unintra is 0.92, while the average lifespan of a Unintran is 91,2 years.

Unintra has several Different Ethnic Groups in the Country, the most Dominant is the Native Wyunintravi Ethnic Group, which, together, account for about 3/4 quarters of the Unintran Population, followed by the Luckviram Culture with 11.6%, The Dwenosians with 7.3%, the Yuianians with 3.4% and the 1% is from various other Ethnic groups throughout Unintra. the Main Wyunintran Ethnic Group is split between 3 different Branches. the Largest with 64.8% of total population is the Main Wyunintran Branch, centred in Karairan, the capital. there is also the Rosvitan Branch, which encompasses the Rosvitan Special Executive zone and other small parts in the east of the Country with 3.7%, and The Northern Branch which has 8.2%

Unintra has a variety of Languages used within it's territories, its National Language (that is, the language used by the government and taught in all schools) is Formal Wyunintran, a newer branch of the Wyunintran Language, that originated in the Mixing of Traditional Wyunintran, Old Luckviram, and Elements of Dwenos Vocabulary. It also has Official Languages (Languages that are recognized by the Federal Government and taught as secondary languages in Schools) these are Traditional Wyunintran, Old Luckviram, New Lokhma, and Dwenos. finally, it has Regional Languages ( languages Recognized by Cantonal Authorities and Protected as Cultural Treasures) which number in the dozens across Unintra.
Religion
Religious affiliations in Unintra (20XX)
Unintra is not home to any large population of organized religion. It has historically been secular, with some minor trihal or pagan religions within smaller communities. The largest Religious group of Unintra are the Various Yuianian Sects, they follow [insert major Religion in levantine] and incorporate their own versions of the religion. Religious people have often been discriminated and persecuted against, particularly in Rosvita, with it's strict atheist policies. However, with the increased amounts of tensions and Infighting between Religious and atheists, there were calls to legislate Religious freedom in Unintra, allowing the practicing of Religion without discrimination. That is why, true equal religious rights were one of the last rights added to the Constitution. There is currently 78% Non-Practicing rate in Unintra, 12% [Major Religion], 6% Local traditions and 4% other.
Culture and Society
Attitudes and Worldviews vary across Unintra, but one thing that they have in common is their shared desire for Scientific Progress, even the Artistic Luckvirams will tell you that Scientific Progress is important to the Nation, but they have disagreements on when it should be Used, the Rosvitans prefer to use it everywhere possible, hereby making the entire economy robotic, while the Naturalists in Opheliamore would prefer a more Balanced approach, with Nature and Technology are used to complement one another. Science and Technology take such a place in Unintran Society that Scientists and Scholars have historically replaced the Rich Nobility and the Religious Leaders as the most important parts of Unintran Society. With Kings having to study extremely well and be extremely well educated so that the Populace doesn't view him as unworthy of leading their Nation, and most political positions before the Democracy period being reserved for Scholars and Scientists. A general Unintran is known to be reserved, pacifist and focused.
The Main Wyunintran Branch is a Moderate Scientific Culture

The Luckviram Culture is the most famous and most Artistic of the Cultures, Being the Source of most of the Nations Artistic heritage, and Their architecture Used throughout Unintra
Finally, the Yuianinas are a close Related Culture of the Native Wyunintran Culture, that Migrated here. They are adventurous, being the source of a significant amount of the Natural Discoveries inside and outside of Unintra by Unintrans. They are also Religious, and are the most religious out of all groups listed here.
Education
The Education System in Unintra is an integral part of the Nation. As the main Culture of Unintra is Centered around Knowledge and Education, the Education System is Given Top Priority by the Government. Education used to be one of the Criteria for Voting in the Early Days of Suffrage, and Before That, Universities and Wisdom Councils were the Highest Political Authorities in Unintra During It's Earlier Eras. Education is the biggest part of the Wyunintran Government budget. this money is used to Fund schools, staff and Research institutes for Unintra. Education in Unintra is Universal, with Mandatory education provided from preschool to secondary school. And Education being free up until University. Priority is given to Science and Mathmatics, with both of them having a significantly more amount of laerning hours. Critical thinking is also mandatory, and Literacy also being one of the Important parts of the curriculum. The Students are also provided with Government made computers or phones, for the less fortunate, and currently maintains online classes for those who live too far to get access to a physical school. Books for every subject up until college are provided in the Government Run Grand Archive, where Citizens may access them to learn independently, in case of a difficulty in online classes. Religion
Religion has never really took hold in Unintra, there are traditions and ritual customs, but throughout most of it's history, They have not been categorized in an organized religion. The most religious of the Ethnic groups are the Yuianians, which hold religion as the most important part of their lives, they are fanatic followers of their religion and is the main religious group in Unintra, the others being either foreign religions or tribal beliefs. the Yuianians also brought their local Religion to Unintra as a consequence. Whereas the most atheist are the Rosvitans, who have often ridiculed the idea of Religion, and instead purely believe that science is the reason for the universe. this has led to historical tensions between the 2 ethnic groups and city-states. however, with the increasing friendship and cooperation between them, the Rosvitans and Yuianians have both moderated their stances, and adopted a more moderate view on Religion. In the current era, the government is ruled secularly, with separation of the state from religious institutions. religious surveys and statistics are often inaccurate, as while a Wyunintran may say hey are religious, but not follow their religious traditions, only following their parents that came before them. There is also the issue of Culture vs Religion, where some view a custom to be Cultural custom and others believe that its a religious ritual however, a significant population do not believe in a specific religion. due to the more technologically inclined culture of the main Wyunintran Branch. There howeer exists Strong laws that protect the freedom of Religion, such as the Second Article of the Bill of Rights, which proclaims the freedom of expression and religion, as an essential right, and that no one should be disadvantaged or subject to unlawful discrimination because of it, among others. Religion is taught in school From a historical point of view, teaching about their similarities and differences. Religious Classes are also provided as extra courses in school, as an option for those who want to.
Arts and Literature
Arts and Literature in Unintra are viewed Differently depending on Where you go, some, like the More Conservative Rosvitans, believe that Art works merely as a distraction than an actual Product that can be used. While others, like the Artistic Luckvirams, view Art as Representation of the soul, and Mind, a way to feel escape, share ideas, and Free your imagination. Culturally, most of the more famous pieces of Unintran Culture, like it's Triangular Based Architecture, is From Luckvarum. Luckvarum is the undisputed Center of Arts and Culture in Unintra, so much so that Foreigners when asked will know what Luckvarum is, But Struggle with Unintra. So much so that some even think Luckvarum as a separate Nation, simply because of How different it is to the Rest of Unintra. The Unissance, Which Saw a massive revolution in Unintra, and helped open the doors for more appreciation and Recognition for artists, started with The Artist Roald Sokla, one of the pioneers in Developing a more open view of Art and Culture, by using it as a way to help with the Inner self, and appreciate the beauty of Life. he did this by performing Operas Close to nature, in almost open fields, where he incorporated the various Natural Sounds of Nature, with more traditional Instruments. His Notable Works Include: Alvans Journey, Natural Sciences and The Open Mind. Symbols
Unintra has Many special Symbols that represent both Regional and National Culture and spirit. The most Prominent of these symbols is The WelkFas Light, represented in the Unintran Flag as a Bright Star. It is meant to embody the collective spirit of Unintra. it emerged as a Prominent symbol during The Wlumnian Wars Period, especially as a symbol of Defiance and resilience against the Much More powerful Gjenowan Dominion. It takes its inspiration from a folk tale, where supposedly, after every forest fire, a single Flower is Left, completely Untouched, and only when the fire stops, only the flower is left. Yet everytime a Fire Passes, the mightiest of trees and forests, only the singular flower survives. The Flower's Name is The WelkFas Flower, and is said that it's light will reveal its secrets to any who successfully find it.
Economy and Infrastructure
Unintra has a fairly diversified economy. it was historically built to achieve complete self-sufficiency, but since the End of the Disturbed Isolationist period, and growing globalisation, has become more open, and shifted to Partial Autarky (for food, electricity and essential resources), while still Importing luxuries and exporting goods to other nations of the world. It has a Mixed Economy, with Large Government Companies controlling the Basic services (Water, Electricity, Some Basic levels of Food, small emergency Manufacturing) and the rest of the Market is given to Market-based Companies. It's Financial Center and Largest Stock Exchange is Dwenos.
It does have some amount of unemployment, around 4, 45 %. Despite this, the economy is doing well. The government tightly regulates companies and businesses, yet it also provides them with large subsidies. The government encompasses 20% with private businesses being 3/4 of the economy. The government is also prioritising self-sufficiency as an economic policy. The taxation rate is high, about 45%, however this changes depending on the amount of wealth and type of it (property, inheritance, VAT, etc.). This makes it that citizens of Unintra have a fair amount of disposable income, yet this is rewarded with some of the best welfare, education and healthcare in the world. So citizens can live comfortably and not have to worry about high prices in public services.
It's Economic Heart lies in the Dwenos Region the origin of the Dwitis, more specifically, the Rosvitan-Dwenos Industrial Axis. And is considered the best region in Unintra for economic, Industrial prosperity.
Business is considered "impossible" by outside companies. While outside companies aren't banned from operating here, there are many difficulties in succesfully reaching the Market. First, Unintra is Dominated with local businesses that hold almost all of the market share in Unintra, as a result of decades of strict isolationism, so finding new customers are difficult. Then, there are the enormous amounts of Regulations that businesses have to follow, from labor laws to environmental regulations, restricting their competitiveness. Finally, they have to face the heavily subsidised businesses, supported by the government, already occupying the market. Unintrans have mostly adapted to the restrictions, and for many consider them as normal. This has resulted in limited economic growth for Unintra compared to other nations. but the majority of people support the government in this matter, preferring their economy to be dominated by local businesses rather than multinational coorperation.
Industries and Sectors
Unintra has a mildly diversed economy, thanks to it's historical isolationism, but now, it's largest Industry is arguably in the Distribution and Manufacturing of Electronic technologies, responsible for 25% of Unintran GDP. with it's Largest Corporation as The Rosvitan Computer Dwiti, with 56% of the Local Marketshare, their products are Mostly Exported to Other Nations, and is One of the Few Multi-national Companies of Unintra, followed by Agriculture, becuse of its essential role in having a self-sufficient Economy. other large industries in Unintra include Book Publishing and Pharmaceutical Industries.
Currency
The National Currency of Unintra is the Unis Ukan Credits, Unis Ukan comes from the name of Unias Ukan, the Leader that Introduced, standardised and Unified the Currency as the official monetary unit Used by Unintra, marking the end of the regional differences of Currency and streamlining commerce accross Unintra. The most recent incarnation of the Currency is in its digital form, as part of an effort to cut down on Paper usage to reduce the need to cut down trees. Now most of the transactions in Unintra are made either by Card, or electronically, while Paper is used more as a formality and collected for memories. Healthcare
Healthcare in Unintra is Prioritized as an Essential Service in Unintra. Healthcare is Universal, and mostly Subsidized by the Government (exceptions for cosmetic Surgery). They also Work with Pharmaceuticals to Provide lower costs on Medicine, and Invest significant amounts on Research related to Treating them. Under the Private-Public Cooperation Act, Businesses get access to shared labor, large subsidies and joint research tools in exchange for Cheaper access to Medicine, and access to some research provided by the Pharmaceuticals, and Research Institutes. The Companies however, usually keep the patents (unless in cases of an imminent public health threat where the government may force the Company to Release it's Patent or Seize it's Production). Training for Medical Workers and Researchers are Strict, and Vast, needing a large amount of dedication and time to fully train a medical Professional. Healthcare is one of the Biggest sections on the Annual Budget of Unintra, Behind Only Education. Healthcare is Managed by The Department of Healthcare of WHD, headed by Johansa Zolma.
Labor
Labor In Unintra is Mostly Employed in the Construction or Manufacturing, there are Several Unions working to Balance the workplace and bring more voice to Workers. However, because of The Smaller Population In Unintra, and Youth workers preferring to work in Higher Education Jobs (Doctors, Engineers, Diplomats, etc.) and Significant Demand for Manual Labor, Businesses have shifted to using robotics and A.I to perform the more basic and repetitive tasks. Transportation
Transportation in Unintra is Primarily Based around Public Transportation, more specifically Trams. the reason is because public transportation is cheap, compared to cars, which are taxed quite expensively, and have to go through a multitude of complex regulations. the culture of using public transportation was also aided by government programs and ads, which prioritized walking or using public transportation, to reduce the amount of congestion, in the smaller than average roads of Unintra, and to facilitate the reduction of emission in Unintra. The Current Minister-President of Unintra, is known for using the Public Transportation Systems instead of a Car, albeit with increased security. Most of the Fuel in Trams and Other Public Transportations in Unintra are Renewably powered, with exceptions to less advanced and remote public transportation systems. Unintra also invested into the Highspeed railway network, instead of a large Road Network for travelling, to make it's citizens use Trains More.
Energy
Unintra's Energy is primarily Composed of Renewable Energy, due to its notorious Bright and clear weather, the largest producer of Energy in Unintra is Solar Energy, placed in either almost every rooftop for houses, to Ensure some local Energy independence, or in Large Solar Farms in the Unusable Land. The government also Frequently attempts to buy or negotiate access to new inventions if they are made outside of Unintra, so their scientists may learn from the works of others. they also maintain a Grand Archive, housing the collective knowledge of Unintra, to facilitate access to Knowledge for every citizen. Unintra Embraces technology, often using the most advanced technologies where possible. Evidenced by their semi-automatic Factories run with robotics, their Universal Access to the Internet, the use of Digital Currency as opposed to paper, and many other things. Currently, the main area of research and expertise of Unintran Scientists is on Medicine, which resulted in the formation of Large Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industries, and a wide array of tools to research Medicine.
