The Arzalist Underground is the informal Occidental term for a network of Orthodox Arzalist sects existing in Varshan and formerly Varshani territories. While not cohesive, the Underground is the largest collective threat to the provisional Varshani government and the leading cause of the ongoing low-intensity conflict in the borderlands of northern Crona.
Major Sects
The Society for the Gods is the largest organized group in Varshan proper, and is responsible for most of the formal military resistance remaining in the country. It at times has manages to field brigade-strength assaults on Occidental garrisons and ANH strongholds.
The Temple of Burning Rebirth primarily operates as a conversion group working in Sun-Arzalist majority areas, masking itself as a Sun-worshipping sect.
