Veltorine Popular Defense Committee: Difference between revisions

The '''Veltorine Popular Defense Committee''' ('''VPDC''') was the military umbrella group for the defense of [[Cetsencalia]] and the [[Veltorine people|Veltorine]] population of Cetsencalia. Organized in early [[2021]] during the [[Invasion of Cetsencalia]], the VPDC consisted of regular military forces and militias fighting under [[Nysdra Sea Treaty Association]] command as well as cells of guerrilla and irregular fighters. In summer [[2022]], following the [[Cetsencalia front|liberation of Cetsencalia]], it was established as the official armed force of the [[Veltorine Territories]]. It was dissolved as an armed force with the establishment of [[New Veltorina]] in 2026, but it remained a quasi-political organization within the [[New Veltorine Provisional Government]] until the establishment of constitutional government in New Veltorina. Its leadership and political apparatus was reorganized as the [[Party for the National Movement (New Veltorina)|Party for the National Movement]] ahead of the 2017 elections in New Veltorina.
