However, whereas around 25% of the population of Woolzistan is Christian, around 55% of the Woolzian Kiravian population belong to a Christian denomination. This is because historically Christians in Woolzistan looked to Kiravia for protection, and Christians will have found it easier to migrate to another Christian country whereas Muslim emigrants from Woolzistan were more likely to migrate to a Muslim country.

Most Woolzsians in Kiravia are Christians. During the Protectorate Kiravia was seen as a firm supporter of the Christian community and as such many migrants took the opportunity to move to Kiravia and settle there. Similarly following independence Kiravia was often see as a safe area for Christian refugees and asylum seekers fleeing times of trouble in Woolzistan. Woolzians who were Coscivian Orthodox also benefitted from favourable goevrnment policies that made it easier for members of that religion to immigrate to Kiravia. As a result of this Coscivian Orthodox Christians form the single largest denomination of Woolzian Christians in Kiravia.

Politics

As an immigrant group Woolzian Kiravians were historically drawn to progressive and statist politics in Kiravia. Refugees from Woolzistan following various coups by the Woolzistan military tended to be ideologically left-wing, although at times faced strong opposition from more settled members of the Woolzian disapora in Kiravia.

As the community have developed and become integrated with the rest of the Kiravian population the politics of the community has become less homogenous. Kiravians of Woolzian ancestry support most political parties.
