La Garrote: Difference between revisions

The Audonian Garrote ([[Burgoignesc language|Burg]]: ''La Garrote Ularien''), more commonly called ''La Garrote'', referring to the strangulation weapon the {{wpl|garrotte}}, is both a policy of and a criticism of [[Burgundie]]'s presence in [[Audonia]] and [[Alshar]]. It specifically refers to [[Burgundie]]'s colonization and ongoing control of the islands of [[Chaukhira]], [[Isles des Coulettes]], [[Salarive]], and very recently [[Antilles]] controlling traffic through the Aab-e-Farus and the Gulf of Kandara whatever we are calling it now.

==Corumm==

[[Corumm]] in particular extends this definition to also include [[Ayermer]] and [[Sudmoll]] because of their proximity to key ports in [[Corumm]] and [[Stenza]] respectively. It has long been a point of conflict between [[Corumm]] and [[Burgundie]].

During the {{wpl|Age of Sail}} it lead [[Corumm]] to develop its own trading company, the [[South Seas Development Company]] and its fleet the [[Harmonious Flotilla Invincible]].
