Chul Lung Qua was a Daxian businessman, functionary and anti-Catholic activist. A native of provincial Ganshi, he moved with his family to Urcea to pursue business opportunities in the metals trading sector. During his stay his daughter, Wei Fen, secretly converted to Catholicism without obtaining his permission. Mr. Qua went on to sue the Urcean government in Qua v. His Most Christian Majesty's Government to prevent his daughter from gaining asylum, but failed to win in court. Shortly after, he returned to Daxia to start the Anti-Catholic League, a pressure group advocating for the closure of all Catholic institutions in the country.
