The following days are public holidays within Urcea, divided into three classes of holidays. First class holidays require universal observance throughout the Kingdom and are typically holy days of obligation. Second class holidays are chosen to be observed by individuals based on a number set by their guild, though the typical allowance is for employees to observe six second class holidays per year. Second class holidays are major feast days within the Catholic Church. Third class holidays are holidays where observance depends upon whether or not an individual's guild votes to recognize them, and on average each guild recognizes about three third class holidays. Weekend holidays and feasts are typically observed on Tuesdays; in the event of two holidays and feasts falling in the same weekend, the holidays are observed on Friday and Tuesday.
