The Caphirian Covenant or Caphirian Pact is an Anti-Caphirian conspiracy theory. Based on a text of the same name that was first published in 1920, The Caphirian Covenant tells of a conspiracy led by the Imperator of Caphiria, which actively works to undermine the peace in Pelaxia to eventually shatter the country and absorb it back into the Imperium of Caphiria. The text was pushed heavily in the years leading to the Second Great War, sowing distrust against Caphirians in Pelaxia, with the work being eventually translated to other languages and distributed accordingly. Despite the recent time of publishing, the Caphirian Covenant is often seen as the source of the modern Anti-Caphirian sentiment in Pelaxia.
History
Anti-Caphirian conspiracies
The Anti-Caphirian conspiracies have existed in Pelaxia since the foundation of the Carto-Pelaxian Commonwealth. Still, they slowly became more popular in the 19th century as Pelaxian independence was more firmly established. MORE LATER
Publication history
The first edition of the text was released in 1920 by its author, M.F. Dannino. Dannino continued the printing and distribution of the book until he died in 1953, which is when the Imperial Seat took responsibility for both printing and distribution due to their new interest in sowing distrust against Caphirians due to the claim to the Eastern Imperium that followed the end of the Second Great War.
