The Aurillac River (Template:IPAc-en) is a 367.9-kilometre (228.6 mi) long river in the Charente region of Cartadania in the states of Aleira and Milan. From it's beginning in the Sardou Ridge, it runs north and forms the boundary between the two states for the entirety of its course. The river empties into the Aurillac Delta at the Odoneru Ocean. It is one of the largest clearwater rivers in the country, and one of the few that remains relatively unchanged post-industrialization.
The lower reaches of the river flow between Milan's Faible region and Aleira's Agraire region, two relatively rural regions and mountainous where the river flows. It is here that the highest point in Milan, Mont Pierre, is found. The river begins at Lake Pluton, traveling down hill until it reaches Clearwater Falls, descending 471 metres (1,545 ft) before continuing its course. The river travels northwestward before turning almost due north. As it reaches the southern Est region of Milan, where the soil is softer, it weaves and bows, having formed oxbow lakes and other features in the area over time.
Though both states have worked to prevent industrialization of the banks of the river, it is not uncommon, especially in Aleira, to find different facilities and corporations near the riverfront. Nonetheless, because the delta of the river is controlled by the Milan Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (MGIF), shipping vessels are prohibited from traveling up the river. Small craft are able navigate the river without issue.
About halfway through the Est region, the river forks westward again. This is where the Millau river begins, running northwesterly towards the Marée Channel near Aumiers. The Aurillac continues past this point to it's mouth at the Odoneru Ocean.
