The Governor of the Commonwealth of Milan serves as the chief executive of the Commonwealth of Milan for a four-year term. The current holder of the office is Anteros Ballas, who was sworn in on 5 January 2020. His term will expire on 6 January 2024. Ballas is a hybrid member of both the Social Democracy Party and Progressistas (although he tends to align more with SDP) and was elected to the office on 1 October 2019, to succeed fellow party member Marc Sueur as the 78th Governor of Milan.
