This article lists all major political parties within the Woqalate of Tierrador. Tierrador, being a semi-constitutional monarchy, has a multi-party system, with 6 national and 5 regional major parties representing the 18 Commonwealths of the country in its unicameral legislature, the Qangreč, of which seats 438 delegates.
The political scene in Tierrador had mostly been dominated by two parties; the Socialist Workers' Party (Partéc Socialâsi torbaje, or PSt) and the People's Party of Tierrador (Partéc pepal Terranóc, or PpT). They mostly have been the frontrunners for both Tierrador's left-wing and right-wing movements, respectively, and have traditionally been the main two parties of which Tierradorians associate their beliefs in. Other major parties, such as the Social Democratic Party (Terranóc SocDemasîa, or TSD), Tierradorian Republicans (Republicaí Terranóc, or RT), United Tierrador (Uníoda Terranóc, or UniTerra), and the Tierradorian Conservatives' Union (Conservatôi uniólaí Terranóc, or CuT) are also represented in the Qangreč.
General overview
The list below provides a general overview of all 11 major parties represented in the Qangreč, which are officially recognized by the Tribunal Court of Tierrador.
National parties
- The Socialist Workers' Party (PSt, Socias) is the current ruling party of the Tierradorian Woqalate. Nicknamed the Socias, it is a mainstream moderate-left social democratic party and has the second-highest party membership in the country. The Socias, along with the Social Democrat Party, make up the ruling coalition of Tierrador, known as the Democratic Coalition. It is currently lead by Angelina Šaphiana, who is also serving as the Qaphenć of Tierrador. This party has governed the country since 2031.
- The People's Party of Tierrador (PpT, Peps) is a conservative, Catholic and economically liberal faction which makes up the second-highest number of seats in Qangreč. They are nicknamed the Peps. Despite their economically liberal stance, the Peps are vehemently opposed to the ideas of economic socialism, which has intensified the political polarization of both the Socias and the Peps throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. The Peps are led by Francisco Pintón, and had governed the country with Pintón at the helm for a short period of time, from 2027-2031.
- The Social Democratic Party (TSD, SocDems) is a center-left social democratic party, and is one of two major parties that make up the Democratic Coalition, which serves as the ruling coalition of Tierrador. The SocDems typically advocate for socially, economically, and politically egalitarian policies, and are led by Aiki’i Aika’haleua.
- United Tierrador (UniTerra, Purps) is a left-leaning big tent party, which is seated on the left of the independents in the Qangreč, despite not being a part of the Democratic Coalition. UniTerra politicians are nicknamed Purps due to their party's overall identity revolving around the color purple, to which they see it as a sign of unity among Tierrador's polarized political scene. Despite this, UniTerra mostly projects far-left ideologies, leading to them being excluded from the Democratic Coalition. The Purps are currently led by Kaleb Košai.
- The Tierradorian Conservatives' Union (CuT, Cuts, Connies) is a right-wing to far-right political party, which split from United Tierrador in 1997. The CuT, self-nicknamed theCuts, but referred to as the Connies by their opponents, are the only political party in South Crona which still openly opposes LGBT movements, including legislations passed by the Qangreč and rulings by both the Imperial and Tribunal Courts meant to support the LGBT movement. Their main ideology is Tierradorian Nationalism. They are led by Tabití Sauga. Qaphenć Nathan Luukolena was the most well-known example of CuT leadership in Tierrradorian history.
- The Tierradorian Republicans (RT, Reps) are a center-right and moderately conservative party. They are sometimes described as "like the Connies, but more flexible." They are nicknamed the Reps, and are fairly popular amongst rural farming communities, due to their emphasis on agrarian policies and green conservatism. Spiro Sauga, who served as Qaphenć from 2019 to 2027, implemented various pro-agricultural policies throughout his tenure, which in turn had numerous positive effects for the Tierradorian economy. Currently, the Reps are led by Marío Atuukalat.
Regional parties
Currently, the five major regional parties in the Qangreč are the Partéc Bogocía, Porvaos National Congress, Vozâ Teschego, Vozâ Tawakee, and Coalat Tapkoii. These five parties do not claim a side on the political spectrum, rather serving as big-tent parties within their respective Commonwealths of representation. In total, these five parties make up 31 of the 438 seats in the Qangreč.
