The RS-51 was designed by Atonia Freducciana, a wealthy business-woman from Napolis in 1950 while working for YERA. It's main user is Calinthia. It was designed due to the Calinthian Mililtary's necessity for a modern main battle rifle. The nationalized company YERA was funded by the Calinthian government in 1949 to begin designing a main battle rifle that the Calinthian Armed Forces could use.
